Near the village of Schaefstall (located east of the city of Donauwoerth), an existing cut-off meander of the Danube could be reactivated and used as a new riverbed. In order to compare possible variants for the connection of the cut-off meander, a feasibility study was worked out in order to be able to determine a preferred solution for the activation of the cut-off meander on the basis of the findings obtained.
