The planned high head hydropower scheme "Maisonettes" is located in northern Italy in the province of Aosta at the Torrento Vertosan. The sheme includes, among other things, a water catchment, penstock (up to DN1200, length 1,840m, gradient about 20%), penstock in the vertical shaft, cavern powerhouse with 2 Pelton turbines, access gallery to the cavern, electro-mechanical equipment and a substation for feeding into the local power grid.
