For the city of Passau, flood protection is planned in the area of the Obere Donaulaende from a 100-year flood event (including climatic factor). For this purpose, a subsurface seal with a length of approximately 500 m is built and above a flood protection wall (basic protection) as well as mobile elements are erected. In addition, a pumping station with 3 pumps with a pumping capacity of up to 3 m³/s is required.
