For the properties east of the Erlau estuary in the district of the market Erlau Obernzell located in the eastern district of Passau a protection against a 100-year flood event (including climatic factor) is planned. Flood protection walls, mobile elements, flood protection dikes and a pumping station are provided to ensure flood protection within the city.
