
Darmsheim Tunnel, Sindelfingen
The Northern Bypass of Sindelfingen-Darmsheim includes the construction of a 460 metres long tunnel. In addition to the two-lane tunnel an emergency egress tunnel is being built. With exception of 15 metres at either end the tunnel is build by conventional tunnelling methods. The main tunnel is lined by a temporary shotcrete lining and a permanent cast in-situ reinforced lining, whereas the egress tunnel is lined by a double shell shotcrete lining.
