The Northern Bypass of Sindelfingen-Darmsheim includes the construction of a 460 metres long tunnel. In addition to the two-lane tunnel an emergency egress tunnel is being built. The main tunnel is lined by a temporary shotcrete lining and a permanent cast in-situ reinforced lining, whereas the egress tunnel is lined by a double shell shotcrete lining.
