Fahrafeld: second largest flood retention basin in Lower Austria nearing completion
In the region of Fahrafeld, at the river Triesting, the second largest flood retention basin in Lower Austria is currently under construction. EDR is responsible for the object and structural design as well as the planning of the technical equipment for the outlet structure.
The basin, which is designed and controlled in the main closure, will be designed for a 100-year flood event of the river Triesting. Upon completion, it will be capable of reducing a 100-year flood of 233 m³/s.
